Are your pieces handmade? Yes. Every BitaJewells piece is shaped from porcelain, hand-painted, glazed, and fired in multiple stages. Because each piece is made individually, no two are exactly alike.
What is porcelain jewelry? Porcelain jewelry is made from fine porcelain clay that is shaped, dried, decorated, glazed, and kiln-fired. The result is a hard, lightweight piece with a smooth, glass-like surface.
Is porcelain jewelry durable? Porcelain is durable for everyday wear but can break if dropped onto a hard surface. The fired glaze and gold lustre are long-lasting when handled and stored with care.
What is 22K gold lustre? Gold lustre is a genuine metallic finish containing real gold. It is applied after the glaze firing and kiln-fired in a separate final firing, bonding the gold finish to the glazed porcelain surface.
Will the gold lustre fade? The kiln-fired 22K gold lustre is durable with normal wear. However, repeated abrasion, perfume, chemicals, moisture, and rough cleaning can gradually affect the finish. Store the jewelry separately and wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Can I wear porcelain jewelry in water? The glazed porcelain is water-resistant, but we recommend removing your jewelry before swimming, showering, washing dishes, or exercising. This protects both the gold lustre and the metal findings from unnecessary wear.
Is your jewelry hypoallergenic? The porcelain components are naturally hypoallergenic. Metal findings are 18K gold-plated or gold-filled. If you have a severe metal sensitivity, please contact us before ordering so we can help you choose the most suitable option.
What is Delft Blue? Delft Blue is a centuries-old Dutch decorative style known for intricate blue-and-white floral and nature motifs. BitaJewells reimagines this tradition through contemporary hand-painted porcelain jewelry.
What materials do you use? Fine porcelain, underglaze colours, clear glaze, and genuine 22K gold lustre. Findings such as hooks, hoops, clasps, and chains are 18K gold-plated or gold-filled, depending on the design.
Are your pieces one of a kind? Each piece is hand-painted individually, so subtle differences in brushwork, colour, and gold details are natural characteristics of handmade work.
Sizing & Care
How big are the pieces? Sizing varies by design. Each product page lists the exact dimensions and weight in its Details section.
How do I care for my BitaJewells piece? Store your jewelry in its gift box, away from moisture, perfume, lotions, and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid dropping it onto hard surfaces.
Ordering & Production
How long does production take? Please allow approximately 5 business days for processing before your order ships. You will receive tracking information once your order is on its way.
Can I cancel or change my order? Please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order if you need to make a change. Once production has begun, we may be unable to cancel or modify it.
Shipping
Where do you ship? We ship across Canada and internationally, including the United States, United Kingdom, and European Union.
Do you ship to the United States with no customs fees? US orders ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Duties and import taxes are prepaid, so customers should not receive unexpected charges at delivery.
Do you offer free shipping? Yes. Free shipping is available on Canadian orders over $175 CAD and US orders over $250 USD.
How can I track my order? You will receive tracking information when your order ships. You can also track eligible orders through the Shop app.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy? We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Please review the full return policy before sending an item back.
