Each earring begins as a lump of porcelain, shaped into the silhouette of a bird mid-flight, then left to dry slowly before its first firing. Once bisque-fired, I paint every rose, leaf, and vine by hand — coral blooms against crisp white, deep green foliage, and a whisper of turquoise weaving through the centre. A final pass of 22K gold lustre traces the edges, and the piece goes through the kiln a third time to set it permanently into the glaze.

The result is something closer to a miniature painting than a typical earring — each one slightly different, the way anything made entirely by hand always is.

Available with your choice of gold-plated, nickel-free stud or dangle ear wire findings, light enough for all-day wear, with just enough movement to catch the light as you move.
